New York City — On Christmas Day, The Rink at Rockefeller Center celebrates its 75th anniversary. Since 1936, skating on The Rink has been one of New York's traditional ways to usher in each winter season.
Rinkside dining, too, has been a quintessential New York experience, from Restaurant Francais and English Grill in 1936 to The Sea Grill and Rock Center Cafe today.
"After 75 years, The Rink is still enchanting for all who visit it," says Nick Valenti, CEO of Patina Restaurant Group, which operates The Rink and its surrounding restaurants, The Sea Grill and Rock Center Cafe.
Patina Restaurant Group’s East Coast portfolio features New York City's Rockefeller Center Ice Rink, Rock Center Cafe, The Sea Grill, Brasserie, Brasserie 8 1/2, The Grand Tier Restaurant at the Metropolitan Opera, La Fonda Del Sol and Lincoln, among others. On the West Coast, its portfolio includes the renowned Los Angeles Times' four-starred and Michelin-starred Patina Restaurant in Walt Disney Concert Hall, among others, and catering and food service in museums and cultural centers throughout California.
