Dickey's Plans Expansion Across Seattle
|
|
Seattle — Dickey's Barbecue Pit is building momentum in the Washington area. The world's largest barbecue chain recently opened its first Washington restaurant in Auburn. Dickey's is now searching for two additional sites.
"I think the Seattle area is ready for more of our authentic and unique concept," says Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. "We have big plans for the Washington area."
Dickey's Barbecue added over 66 stores last year and is planning to add 100 new locations nationwide in 2012. The fast-casual restaurant chain just signed on another new franchise owner looking for sites in Olympia and Lacey.
Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened its first location in Dallas in 1941. Dickey's began franchising in 1994 and has continued to grow across the country. Dickey's currently has more than 200 locations in 36 states nationwide.
