Bethesda, MD — With more than 98 restaurants throughout the Carolinas, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia, FATZ®, a Café Enterprises, Inc. restaurant chain, recently enlisted the leadership and creative services of Streetsense to reinvent its 25-year-old brand and design. The new FATZ® aesthetic exudes modern Southern hospitality and charm with design elements including corrugated metal storefront accents, large black-and-white photographed compositions, a more open and dramatic bar area, and lastly a brighter, more colorful exterior that catches the eye. Locations in Asheville, N.C., and Orangeburg, S.C., are the first to unveil the new look.
In addition to the FATZ® brand revitalization, Streetsense was also commissioned on a tight, 6-week deadline to develop Tavern 24, Café Enterprises, Inc.’s brand new sports bar concept. Tavern 24 boasts a custom “flex-casual” experience featuring open and attractive elements such as an entry fire pit seating area, expansive bar with room for 74, a year-round covered outdoor patio and bar, and 24 beers on tap.
Streetsense unveiled the first Tavern 24 at a converted FATZ® location on Woodruff Road in Greenville, S.C., in late June 2012. Soon to follow will be the first freestanding Tavern 24 located at Gaston Mall in Gastonia, N.C., which is set to debut among Target, T.J. Maxx, Harris Teeter, and other retail attractions in late October 2012. As FATZ® locations embrace their new look, Cafe Enterprises, Inc. will continue its expansion with additional Tavern 24 outposts and also looks to develop a new fast casual concept, Tablefields, in Upstate South Carolina. Streetsense is an integrated brokerage, design, branding and development company specializing in restaurants, hospitality, retail and real estate. For more information, visit www.streetsense.com.
