Beaverton, Ore. — MOD Pizza, a Seattle-based fast-casual pizza chain, will open their first restaurant outside of Washington later this year. The newest location, and ninth overall, will be located in the Portland, Oregon, suburb of Beaverton, inside Cedar Hills Crossing Shopping Center. It will open during the third quarter.
Expansion into Oregon is the first step in MOD Pizza’s national expansion plans. The chain will expand throughout the Portland market and move into California by the end of 2013.
MOD Pizza opened in Seattle in 2008. The pizza chain serves custom thin crust pizzas to customers at a flat price of $6.88. The restaurant’s 800-degree oven cooks them within 3 minutes.
